NATEA美台科技論壇 聚焦生成式AI等技術

由北美台灣工程師協會（North America Taiwanese Engineer & Science Association，NATEA）矽谷分會主辦的2024美台科技論壇（U.S. Taiwan High-Tech Forum 2024），11月9日在具有科技歷史意義的電腦歷史博物館舉辦，主題聚焦「Generative AI x Concious Technology」，邀請業界和學界人士分享新生成式AI和意識技術的最新知識，討論相關應用對永續發展影響，並提供交流機會，活動吸引近300人參加。


NATEA矽谷分會主席李湘鶴博士（Hsiang-He Lee, Ph.D.）介紹，NATEA矽谷分會每年舉辦三場大活動，分別是3月專注女性領導力的「女力論壇」（Women's Summit）、6月面向新創企業和創業投資的「Start up Day」。而11月的美台科技論壇則是NATEA的旗艦活動，目標是提供與科技行業領導者、創新者和專家進行交流的平台。

李湘鶴表示，生成式AI是當下最炙手可熱的話題，希望今年的美台科技論壇幫助大家更了解灣區的產業趨勢。更重要的是加強對意識技術的認知，尤其是在永續的環境、社會和治理方面（Environmental, Social, and Governance，ESG）。

主辦方當天安排了演講、專題討論、爐邊談話，一共六場。Salesforce生成式AI主任Chien-Sheng Wu解析從人類助理進步到強大的Agentforce AI發展。聖荷西州大的Vishnu S. Pendyala博士深入討論生成式AI的倫理和社會影響。微軟的Audrey Lee分享微軟在永續發展上的領導地位，並介紹AI如何對地球產生正面影響。


CREO的Jonathan Mi介紹私募資金在推動永續解決方案中的角色，以及紹投資趨勢和創新技術。Fujitsu的Winnie Tsou主講「為永續未來而驅動的AI創新」。Chien-Sheng Wu還和Llama2和Llama3的合著者Soumya Batra、及C3 AI的首席數據科學家Jack Lin，共同討論了AI如何從簡單到複雜的深度「思考」、突破現況，應用在各種行業當中。
